The play of light and shadow washing over a subject is what grabs my attention. I never know where a subject will take me.
Each medium has its own challenges and rewards; graphite is comfortable and relaxing, while watercolor keeps me on my toes finding the balance of planning steps ahead while keeping the painting fresh and spontaneous. It’s an incredibly rewarding process.
I was born and reared in Pittsburgh, PA. My creative journey began at Cleveland Institute of Art and continued at Moore College of Art in Philadelphia.
My focus was on the corporate community as illustrator, design director in advertising agencies and principal in my design studio. Projects included event promotions for California’s World Cup and Michael Jackson’s family tour.
A major component of my DNA is my love of animals and the outdoors. This is underscored by my former life as an equestrian, cruising 2500 miles with my husband to the Keys on their beloved sailboat, and now hiking the majestic mountains around our home in Brevard, NC.
